A little bit of salt in everything…

I've always painted on whatever was in front of me. House paints, terracotta pots, four sliding doors that became a very ambitious tropical sunset. Even back then, it was mostly waves.

Chalk came next, then pastels — I loved the realism, less so the dust. Acrylics followed, first on old op shop finds, before I landed on oils and never really looked back. They forgive a busy life in a way the others never did.

These days it's mostly water. I'm at Mooloolaba, chasing the exact hue of the ocean on a still morning, or the raw power of it on a wild one — camera first, brush second. What started as something I loved doing slowly turned into Glenda Williamson Art, after a small stall at the Eumundi Markets and some very encouraging strangers.
